If you want to join us, you have to run with us! As you can see from the video below, you will also be well supported and have fun with us! With CPRC, you will never run alone again.
So far in January and February this year our members have taken part in The Goring and Woodcote 10K The Stubbington 10K The Rough and Tumble 10 mile The Stone Henge Stomp and The Bramley 20/10 road races.
Our Race Calendar is available to download as a PDF and we always have our flag at venues we attend so, if you feel like coming over and saying hello, please do as we are a very friendly bunch.
We welcome all new members that are 18 years of age or over. All we ask is that you contact us first so that you can turn up on a coached night, so we can make you feel welcome and meet the other members of the club.
We also need to know a little bit about you before we can allow you to take part in our group runs; especially if you have any medical conditions or injuries that could affect your participation in club activities.
The group is a broad mix of age and running abilities at training sessions, to which you will never feel you are holding anyone back or be running on your own.
Members of the CPRC group regularly take part in local running events at various distances including 5km, 10km, 10mile, half marathon and full marathon road races. We support our local parkrun in Basingstoke which takes place every Saturday morning at 9:00am in The War Memorial Park. As a club we encourage members to participate when they can and we make a special effort to turn out as a club every second Saturday of the month to congratulate members and fellow runners who are presented with parkrun acheivement t-shirts.
Membership or 'Subs' are £5 per member per month and are payable on the first Wednesday of each month to participate in club activities.
So far CPRC group members have completed the Wokingham, Reading, Fleet and Leeds Half Marathons; and more recently the Brighton, London, Farnham Pilgrim, and Loch Ness Marathons .
We also participate in local evening and weekend road and multi-terrain running events throughout the year. During the summer months, we regularly take part in the Yateley 10K Road Race Series, Woodland 5, Forest 5 and SAM 5K & 10K Charity runs.
CPRC also support charity events as we feel it is important to combine our love of running with helping out good causes. Our current club Captain Jason Burke will soon be off to take part in The Marathon Des Sables, you can read his story 'The toughest footrace on earth'.

Whether you are new to outside running, want to improve your general fitness, or take on the challenge and complete your first road race event; there is a place for you within the group!
